Art Experience Options

Sgraffito Plates

Enjoy our house made watercolors with a pack of cotton paper, alternative materials, instructions for techniques, and an ink pen to finish it off. We also have metallic watercolors for an additional fee.

Enjoy our house made oil pastels in an ever changing variety of colors. This includes a selection of colored papers, and instructions on various techniques.

Pick a piece of bisqued pottery, we have everything from plates to bowls to ash trays and whatever else we find fun. Glaze with your choice of colors and designs and leave with us for 1-2 weeks. You will get back a fully food safe piece.

Pick from our stone, semi precious beads, glass, and metal findings to design a necklace, bracelet, or earrings.

Have fun sculpting with a pound of our colored air dry clay. Simple tools are provided along with various textures, stamps, and rollers. We have ceramic books available for guidance.

Are you more of a Type A personality? Need an art experience with a little more structure?We have more kit options available in person.

Collage Experience ~22

How about a collage buffet? We have beautiful paper, magazines from all genres, old books and illustrations, stickers, drawing materials, and of course a variety of glues. Also a mat and xacto knife for those clean detailed cuts.

Drawing Experience ~22

Our Drawing Experience allows you the freedom to try out a multitude of drawing materials and paper surfaces. You can try out different thicknesses of pens. A whole range of pencils. Do you want a little color? Try out the variety of colored pencils. All on an array of textured papers in multiple colors.

Oven Bake Clay ~22

Choose 5-6 colors of Oven bake clay to use. It includes sculpting tools, a silicone mat, texture rollers, and jewelry findings if you decide to make some jewelry. You can take it home to bake it, or allow 20 minutes for us to bake it.

Gelli printmaking ~24

Have fun experimenting with printing using a gelli plate! Utilizing acrylic paint, a brayer, paper, stamps, and magazines, you can create an interesting design similar to a collage.

CPI's artist/owner, Melinda makes plates on the wheel or by hand. They are then covered with underglaze. You come up with a black and white design that you then carve into the plate. Pieces are then dried, glazed, and fired and ready to pick up in 1-2 weeks.

About us

Hello! My name is Melinda Stender. I have been an art teacher here in Las Vegas for 16 years. I've always wanted to open an art studio because I feel like there are a lack of art spaces available in our valley. This cafe is a way for anyone to enjoy a little art time in their day. It's also a great option for a night out. Eventually we want to open member studios, a pottery studio, industrial arts studio, and a material recycling store. Your support will make a huge difference in realizing that dream. Thank you for coming in and adding a little art into the world. I think it is something we need more of.
